Wherein I post work

Ooh, my own thread! Here are some arts I have made.

INKS- sorry, the corresponding pencils have vanished into the ether, but you might get the idea.

Unclench your points, woman! I gave you points and I want them to show!

Also the rest of your work is gorgeous, all of it! I want to collect them in one spot and affectionally roll all over them.

And finally, this more...I don't know, sort of "comic book" style that I'm working on developing. No background or anything, just trying a new style!

Merrill from Dragon Age 2:

more of the stuff in the thing more stuff goes in

Okay, so, here's a work-in-progress. Needs inks and colors, although I don't know if I'll color it because...mmm, I don't know. Color can be difficult for me- I can't color in Photoshop AT ALL, and I actually feel most comfortable in the world using watercolor, but that's not always practical. Anyway, before I blab more, here is the picture-

YES MORE MASS EFFECT FANART I TOLD YOU I HAVE A PROBLEM

Anyway, I was chatting a bit about it on Facebook, but here's the thing- I hate that I'm still struggling to find my (non-stick figure) style. I am soooo impatient with learning new art skills and computer skills and okay ANY skills, I swear.

It feels pretty stiff to me, but maybe that's just because I'm still working out kinks. Or maybe it's just stiff! Someone on Facebook mentioned it's a bit reminiscent of Mike Allred's stuff, and that...made me feel better about it. I love Allred's work- the inks really appeal to me, especially- and his work is a bit stiff, in a sense, but it works. Makes me think mine may end up working too. I have so many feels!

And that's it for me thinking out loud or whatever the internet equivalent is about problems we've all surely faced as people who write or draw or even make pies. If you read this far, surely you deserve a banana.

Oh, and incidentally, I feel the same way about that Merrill picture way up there ^^ Stiff! And weird that I'm an inker, yet I spotted zero blacks on it.

I definitely do not think it's stiff You are doing amazing, and it's crazy how your "just starting" picture is already leagues ahead of most that are just starting out. Keep going!

And yes, I will roll all over this sucker too, all "Crocodiles at the end of Temple of Doom" style.
