Very slick!! Great weights and perspective, super dynamic. I thnk it would pop even more if you twisted his right hand so that the entire sword remained in the frame, foreshortening right into the viewer's eye.

So I began this thread back in January with the goal of posting at least 1 pinup/sketch/commission a week. As we can see it has fallen through.
It had been due to some personal reasons that have kept me from drawing, but I don't want to bore you with that. I am however back at it, and will be posting more regularly! ![]() Hope you like my first attempt at dusting off the cobwebs. Best Dan

I really like your style! Solid figures. My only critiques would be Caps shield looks too small (maybe that's just a personal taste?) and thor's hammer seems like it should be bigger because its coming at us. Other then that, I dig it!

Cap's shield does look a little small. I'm used to it being on the other hand as well.
Somehow, Iron Man's armor doesn't look very metal - the finishing effects on it almost give it an aged leather appearance. |

DarkZombieMutt - Thanks man! Someone has mentioned caps shield before....I think I'll try make it bigger in Photoshop to see if it'll look better.
SatyQ - Thanks for your feedback. mark_barnett - Appreciate it Mark! ![]() Dan http://danielpicciotto.deviantart.com/ http://mercercomic.blogspot.com.au/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Picci...13690755337029 |

Very nice work sir...
The first piece with deadpool has a great deal of backgound and composition. the only thing is that the water tower on top of the building it off symmetrically, Keep it up! |

Here is a real quick sketch I did. Done after a drunken Saturday night, so needless to say I was hungover doing it lol.
Theres a humorous story to it (well I think so). A girl I never speak to commented on a status update of mine on Facebook, trying to start an argument on a matter that didnt even concern her. Me not wanting any sort of negativity, and knowing my mates would tear her apart, I deleted her comment. This obviously made her angry. She went onto my ex gfs wall and carried on saying a bunch of disparaging things. I try and deflect any negativity, so I ignored it. And I dont act out of spite, but the idea for this drawing came to me and I thought it was funny. We're artists, why cant we speak through our art? So a week later I posted this, with the comment; "Taking shots at me?". I thought it was subtle enough so my other friends wouldnt know what I was referring to, but make her say 'Is he talking to me?' lol. So here it is. Done in about 30 mins, so go easy on me. Pencil, pens, copics, and finished off on the iPad. ![]() Best Dan 'Picci8' http://danielpicciotto.deviantart.com/ http://mercercomic.blogspot.com/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Picci...13690755337029 |
