Hello all, showing some of my cartoons.

Was on DW a while ago and haven't posted anything in a while.

Love great art and comic art but I realize its something that I just can't pull off to the level I would like.
But cartooning is something I enjoy so that's been what I have been doing and thought I would share some of them.
These are from the cartoon The Inkwell that I have been posting on my blog - https://indycomicsspotlight.blogspot.ca
Hope you enjoy.

Can I ask if your shading with a digital airbrush and black? or the darken tool and black?

I think the shading isn't helping the toons, try using colours instead of black. Pure black and white virtually never exist in real life.

A bit of both (colours and b&w) for the shading.

Thx for the input, going to start avoid the b&w for top shading.
I’m also starting to like the airbrush shading less and less and plan to stop using it so much.
I think it has its place and uses, just not as much as I’ve been using it in my cartoons.

A piece done to experiment with different textures and surfaces.
Although I should note that I did notice the feet of the base were off and I didn’t really worry about it as I was more concerned about the surfaces.
Or, in other words - yeah, I was lazy.
