WIP: Digital ink try-out

I've started inking my old Predator samples using the Wacom tablet with variable pen/felt/brush nibs. I'm actually enjoying it even though it's taking awhile to get a panel done. The strokes against the glass of the tablet are really smooth and just need a little bit of pressure I think but I can vary the settings to get the width of the nibs I want. Trial and error.

I also added grey tones and played on the color pallette. I definitely need more hours of practice.

JSheppard is on a distinguished road

Does look like you're off to a good start. Yes, inking can be time consuming (both on paper and computer). Best of luck.

Looking good from the get-go, Dario. I have yet to broach digital inking; I'm still an old school ink-and-paper guy, but your stuff just starting out looks fabulous!

Thanks Jeff! I was trying to follow the lines as much as I can without embellishing. It sure is hard to follow my own pencils. I guess if I imagine an inker working on this page, he would absolutely do it differently. Hah!
