This is pretty cool. I like your use of greens in these. It makes a nice color scheme fitting for the title.

Thanks guys. It is kind of an experimental technique. It's green colored paper, India ink with pen and brush, markers, and colored pencils. Text and gutters in Photoshop.
I did not realize it would be quite that green until I scanned it...

Yeah, I figured that wasn't white paper. So, you're drawing the outlines for the word balloons by hand and then coloring them white in Photoshop?

Yes, exactly. Select green inside the balloon with magic wand and then delete it.

Personally with the word balloons, I would have put/left a very light tint of green in them. The whole page has that overall tone, except these 'BANG' in your face, white word balloons.
