Arak-8 is on a distinguished road

STAR TREK,what's your fave?

Okay, who here likes Star Trek and if so which version and who's your all time fave characters?

Mine is ST TOS,and my fave characters are Kirk and Scotty.

The new trek on the other hand...eh..I tried watching it and I could not get into it.

And...get this. I heard in the entertainment news that the next trek film will be directed by..Quentin Tarantino, and it will be R rated this time.

Then you reply something like...Say What? LoL. Hoo boy, that's gonna be a stretch either way right?

And lastly,if you like TOS the most,well..check this out!

Anyways, feel free to share the trek,i'll be waiting.

I liked everything from TOS to Voyager (even Enterprise minus that horrible theme song).
It was all part of a shared timeline and universe, where the history of Earth flowed and spanned centuries. There wasnt (and shouldnt be) a segregation of Eras of StarFleet other than Uniform and ship design. I feel that's one of the (many) reasons I'm not too fond of the new movies and alternate timeline.

There are things about all of them that I like - Though Enterprise is a show we didn't get on any station at the time, so I don't really know it. They each an entity unto themselves, in my humble opinion, each series/movie has its own flavor. But if I had to pick a favorite, The Next Generation might squeak out ahead. But I like them all.

For the new series, I didn't like the first two episodes much at all, but really liked the whole rest of the season. The characters are interesting to me, the tech is spiffy, and the trans-dimensional bug-drive is even cooler. Not terribly interested in the Klingons... at least not yet.

Can't see Tarantino doing a Star Trek, he likes full control of his creations (even when they are heavily borrowed from other films).

Shatner is the only Kirk.

12013 will become famous soon enough12013 will become famous soon enough

LOVE TNG... but DS9 is MY jam. just a rich show with layered characters and stories that went places that tng never dared or only barley hinted at.

voyager was 80% hot garbage. they just didn't know what to do with themselves. occasionally they got it right.

Enterprise was 95% garbage. same problems as voyager, just much worse. no balls..no idea what to do...
it also didn't help that Battlestar Galactica was on at the same time and THAT shit gave me everything I didn't know I was missing in sci TV. made enterprise look so weak and neutered by comparison.

love the original cast movies.

all the tng movies were mostly bad and didn't reflect the amazing TV show that they came from.

actually really like the Kelvin timeline stuff. especially the last one Beyond. that was great.

and DISCOVERY. I'm digging it. has balls. doing something different. entertaining as hell. they said "fuck". and had a nude sex scene with an ugly Klingon bitch. kinda hot and awesome. I'm on board.

so..thats me.
