Typography has never been by strong suit, but it's good to see how the pros do it!

I no longer have the power of administration, but this needs to be pinned. Excellent!

Nice, Nate.
I try to dynamize my SFX, but too often I'm in a time crunch to spend a lot of time on them, but I do like to have the time to jazz it up. I just spent two days expanding my SFX font library so I have more shapes to choose from. Kurt Hathaway Cartoon Balloons Studio khathawayart@gmail.com |

Overlap question
I love seeing this kind of process stuff. Thanks!
I do have one question though. Why are the letters overlapping backwards (the letter on the right is on top of the letter on the left)? I'm more familiar with "send to back" starting on the left, so that the letter on the left is on top of the one on the right. That's just something I learned from a "How To" book, but I thought I'd pose that question, in case your way is based on the sound of the explosion. |

My two cents... given the explosion is happening in the background... and the sound would be coming towards you... it makes sense to me to have the right-most letter in "Bawhoom" be overlapping in the way shown here. It adds some additional depth to me of the sound coming back-to-front as it were.
