so id be curious to know what your further inking plans on this are, cause..in a big way, I like it just as it is. meaning no heavy blacks or shading or crosshatching. this kinda reminds me some stuff from frank miller and jim lee ive seen. id suggest (if this wasn't your plan already), not putting in spotted blacks or shadows. it reads really well and really clear as it is.

Thanks for the feedback, Rob. Yes, that's really a good idea and I know what you're talking about the style Lee & miller did. I saw that too. Well, honestly I'm planning to be consistent with the book. Just spots of blacks and eliminates too many shadows & stuff. I'll leave it to the capable hands of the colorist. she's really superb!

Interesting discussion. Difficult questions! I will be curious to see how it progresses.

this is a great looking page. you could leave it as is and use color to do the rest of the work or you could add lighting through use of backs or tones. if you add lighting it up up or down depending on your choices. i could see a scene where the guns light the figures producing a really cool result.

Hey TimR, yes. For the sake of continuity, I have to add some more blacks but not too much. I'll show the final piece once it's done. Thanks for waiting.

Yes, I know eh? I like it the way it is but it's not going to be consistent with the rest of the pages. As much as I like this one, my client would notice it for sure. Ah, well. Thanks artman.

Woah, that is pretty amazing. Kind of has a Geof Darrow Hard Boiled vibe to it.

Thanks DCdraw. It was really cool with that Darrow style but as I mentioned above I'll have to stick to the style of the book. Eventually there'll be shadows & blacks, unfortunately.
