I've been hired to illustrate a fan-based graphic novel called TURTLES: DAWN OF THE NINJA, which is a darker, grittier, realistic take on TMNT. The creators were inspired by Batman Begins to take their favorites heroes in a half-shell seriously. They are powerful ninjas, not just goofballs. And they are fighting evil warriors who want to kill. Ninjas get bloody fighting other ninjas.

wow. the ninja turtles was the fuel that made me draw all these years. they are in extremely good hands from what i have seen. the story, the art, all of it is something i can't wait for! very inspiring, please keep us informed

alright, i'm just going to live vicariously through you. to be able to get a chance at it like this is beyond amazing. do us proud.

as a side note. my fiance works at barnes and noble and the original creator comes in every once in a while

she came home one day and was like "ZACK GUESS WHO WAS IN THE STORE!" i believe he's originally from easthampton mass? somethin like that.

I always figured Donatello to be a little more brawny (since his weapon is arguably the heaviest, plus if offsets the "brain" part). Definitely more brawny than Raph at least.
