Palace in the sky--Anybody???
I was looking for a way to increase traffic to my comic The Continentals (especially now that it's gonna be published) and have pretty much given up on trying to figure out Stumbleupon as a means of doing that.
I remembered a while back a friend of mine put his comic Zortic on Palace in the Sky and his views went through the roof. Another person I know actually had to upgrade her hosting due to increased bandwidth needs after joining Palace in the Sky. I was just wondering if anybody here has had any experience with Palace in the Sky and what are the pros and cons? Thanks, Dee .................................................. ..................... My knowledge is old so if there has been changes, sorry.
They promise an increase of around 200 readers a month and weird enough thats what I was getting from them. Well, not readers, but pageviews... As a con you get this ugly mandatory skyscraper on your site. The money from that is supposed to go into marketing for Palace in the Sky. The members gave me varying opinions on that. As a bottomline all I can say is give it a try. You won't lose anything. If it works out, great if not you just have to leave. No strings attached. .

Thanks, man.
I heard recently that they had a new system or were starting a new adbox system of some such. I've been interested in Palace in the sky and other "collectives" for a while now. Just didn't know much about them at all. Loving Heroes Inc, by the way. ![]() Dee .................................................. ................... THE CONTINENTALS. Collectives can be a HUGE source of traffic and also inspiration. If you can find the right collective, with the right group of people, it can be a really positive thing.
Good luck with your search. And as I said in another thread: Congrats with the publishing deal. Hopefully 2010 will be the year of Steampunk! ![]()

Dee, my experience has been nothing but positive from Palace in the Sky. I didn't join (yet), but they are a very helpful and cool group of folks. I'd definitely check them out if you get a chance.

Yeah, we're definitely looking into it. They have a new instant sign up gateway system that makes it a lot easier to join. The folks I've talked to who actual represent Palace in the Sky have been cool and informative too. So, even though it's not entirely up to me, I'm pushing for us (Monique and me) to join them. The Continentals traffic isn't bad and has gone up a bit in the last week or two since the publishing announcement, a few great reviews, and a couple unexpected links, but it's nowhere near what it could be.
But then who among us can't say that? LOL! ![]() Dee .................................................. ............. THE CONTINENTALS. It's like Sherlock Holmes meets the 60's tv show The Avengers with a dash of James Bond for flavor. http://www.webcomicsnation.com/moni...tals/series.php |
