Great work! It does have a Reis-like feel to it, which is definitely a compliment.
One question, though- Is Manta getting stabbed all the way through his body (chest/neck area)? Or is he getting whacked sideways with the trident? It wasn't so clear to me. |

This is gorgeous, love the poses, love the balance of white and black, love the linework. I agree with Saul about not being able to tell if it's a scrap or straight through. You may be trying to keep this PG but just in case you're not it'd be awesome to see a burst blood in the water effect coming up from the wound, but that's just extra garnish.

I hate to say it, but if it is going straight through, he would be completely decapitated due to the shape of the tip of the trident. Why? Because it's a "U" shape like Wolverine's claws when the middle claw isn't out. It would choke him first and foremost, but going straight through would result in total headlessness. Unless, of course, he was stabbed with the end that Aquaman is holding, a single spike through the neck. But I don't see that as being the case.
Beautiful image, not plausible. Sorry guys. ![]() Steve |

yeah, but because of A's left hand, it looks like he's hitting Manta on the side of the head.....but yeah, not clear.....still cool

Thanks for the comments. Both Characters are giving glancing blows. Honestly, if Aquaman connected with that thing there would be chunks of Black Manta everywhere.
It's a typical comic end fight. Aquaman hits Black Manta, he falls back into the ocean appaerantly dead, but comes back sometime in the future to clain his revenge. You know, a typical comic death scene. |

Aquaman's face is a little weird and his head seems to be connecting to his head weird but regardless, I really like this pic. The composition is great!

Aside from the confusion of the blow, to me the staff of the trident is way too narrow. It practically looks like a pencil in diameter in his hands. It should have some girth and heft.
