sequential samples question

hi. i'm working on some sequential samples for ww philly....with backgrounds, storytelling, etc. i'm considering doing them in a cleaner style without much-if any-rendering and line work. i'll be showing these alongside my other works(done with more rendering and contrast) and was wondering if the contrast in style would be too jarring for someone to get an accurate assessment of my abilities....?

It wouldn't bother me, but I'm not whoever makes these decisions..

I've read advice to illustrators, if they have multiple styles, to focus on just one, in order to brand themselves in the eyes of art directors.. Might have some bearing on comics too, they see a lot of people and if they can't fit you in a box, it might count against you..

Me personally though, I say play by your own rules, do whatever feels right to you.
