Graphic Style Book

Probably the old hands around here know about this book, but it is an excellent reference for typography, and since there have been some posts recently about different typography sites, I thought I'd post it. I have the 2001 edition, I think this one ads digital stuff from the last 10 years.
Graphic Style: From Victorian to New Century
It doesn't have a preview for the newest edition (above), but does for my edition here

I don't own this particular book, but have plenty like it. Steven Heller does indeed know his topic, and covers it thoroughly.

If anyone's going to pursue a career in lettering, there's a lot to be said for having an mind to applying those design and software skills elsewhere. There's not much money to be made in the comics field, obviously. That's why I keep posting links to other sorts of things that have been, and can be done, in the name of bold outcomes.
