Hello All,

I figured it was about time to start posting about the new comic series I've written called "eXfig".

Exfig is initially planned to be a four part series, at which point I will evaluate the viability of turning it into an ongoing series (I have story material for at least a year's worth).

Artwork is done by Chris Gevenois (Pencils & Inks), colors by Wes Hartman.

About eXfig:
A science experiment gone awry opens two portals to other dimensions. Nearly immediately the Earth is invaded by the denizens of these dimensional rifts. Through one come the forces of a futuristic space-faring empire known as the "Tekreign" and through the other come the varied inhabitants of a fantasy realm called "Dra'con".

To combat these invaders, a brilliant scientist teams up with a former special operations commander to create the ultimate weapon in humanity's struggle for survival. They call their program: eXfig.

The idea of the comic is to blend sci-fi and fantasy elements together while showing that, no matter how bad things get, humanity's biggest obstacle is itself.

I have some completed artwork which I will post next, but I welcome your comments, thoughts and suggestions.

Thank you.

Here is the first thing our art team came up with to promote the project.

Enjoy!

Our first character art is of the main character, Abigale Gonzalez.

She is the first (and only) agent created by the eXfig program.

We're trying to convey that the eXfig program borrows (steals) items/tech from both invading forces, mixing sci-fi and fantasy with an underlying military theme.

Our second piece of character art is not of a main character, but instead a representation of the fantasy side of the comic (although he does make an appearance in issue #1).

Frankly, Chris and Wes blew me away with this one. The main purpose of these character pieces was to get everybody on the same page and help me practice my art direction skills, but they just went all out on this one.

Enjoy!

Our third image is of the main antagonist of the first issue.

He is Tek Commander "Sevens", and he don't mess around.

There is an epic battle between he and Abby in issue #1 of eXfig.

Stay tuned for colors...

Not sure why that last image is so freaking big, but here it is after Wes added the colors.

Let me know what you think (about this piece and the others).

Thank you.

The world of eXfig has no shortage of bad guys (from this world and others) and our next piece of character art is of one of my personal favorite baddies.

His name is Naga and he is the head assassin of the "Wah Kang", a shadowy society of former Triad members.

Take a look, tell me what you think and enjoy!

The Orcs who came through the portal brought with them their ancient shaman magic and attunement to the elements.

That gives them the ability to call forth creatures like our 5th (and final) character art piece... the earth elemental.

Work has now begun on the actual pages of the book, I hope you have enjoyed the art so far and look forward to sharing all our progress in the future.
