Hey guys. Can you name any talented freelance pencilers with the Joe Mad(ureira) style? I'm looking for an excellent penciller who has that exact style but who isn't under exclusive contract with Marvel, DC, etc. Easier said than done, I know, but let me know if you've seen anyone (not necessarily on this site) that might fit the bill. There must be someone. Thanks!

I'm not sure I see that much similarity between this guy and Joe Madureira's work, but I appreciate the suggestion anyway. A little too animation/cartoonish for what I need.

At this point, Joe Madureira is not under exclusive contract with Marvel, neither DC comics. You can contact him and have your job done by him on his own style without risky substitutes.

I guess it's worth a shot. I assume he charges $1,000 per page though. Anyone have an email for him? I presume he's not so easy to contact via Facebook, although I'm going to try.

You can try contacting his art rep.

I think it's a good idea to go straight to the source like others have said but, if it ends up being an exorbitant amount, I'd suggest just doubling down on searching for someone and going through places like deviantart,Instagram, comic art fans, penciljack, Pinterest, etc. Maybe even do a search for "Battlechasers fan art" on google image and seeing what comes up.
