And it is such a wonderful feeling, isn't it? :P And people think it's such a fun job!

That above pic of me is indeed candid, I was in the middle of a horrible Batman deadline, staying up through the wee hours of the night. My friend was over hanging out (which of course didn't help my focus on getting the work done), and snapped a pic with his camera phone when I wasn't looking!

Best,
TOM

I don't know about wonderful. I'm feeling like crap right about now, for the last two days really, and I've lost track of how many hours I've put in since Monday. :D I miss being able to call in sick to work when I don't feel well. Of course, that's about the only thing I miss..... ;)

They force me to play with them, 30 minutes a day, or they won't let me work! You know - chasing them down the hallway, bapping feathers, sneaking up on them, then chasing me back.

Having Persian cats is like having litterbox trained dogs, lol.

that shoprite bag has some of my best writing in it, trapped in little notebooks and on scraps of papers, menus, bus schedules...the stack of paper to the side is pretty cool, it's all the prelim stuff farel did for 'caper', cover roughs, layouts, character sketches, the script...he was going to throw it away when he was moving out of nyc, even half-drunk in the early morning i was smart enough to grab it and say, hey, i'll take it, let's put this in my bag. if you dig the process, the history of it, which i do, it was a big score.

Anyway, this isn't exactly my main work area, but it's my favorite place to work, especially on a nice summer day like today. In fact, it's probably the one place I've actually accomplished more creative work - especially writing - than at any of the better-equipped desks/tables/etc. inside the house.

um... its like January, and its been raining all day in the midwest. No snow, no cold, so it is like summer, but not really... but I digress.

But I do love that pic JAQ, it is so traditional in its romanticised setting, yet smack dab in the middle you have a wireless magic box you can type on and it stores your every keystroke to be printed out at a later time with yet another magic box with paper and toner.
I say it is Wizardry... I say Burn the Witch!!! :har:

Anyway, I wish I had a space like all of you. One of these days. I do have a mini space in our loft, but I want one where I can throw up posters and figures and stuff for inspiration and all. I also need an art table.

Pens & Pixels, I've never seen a monitor and keyboard attached to a drafting board like that. Pretty cool.

I went through several other layouts before sticking with that. The computer is actually a tablet pc, so I draw on the screen. That just happened to be the angle I could work at comfortably without leaning over and making my neck sore.

Wow, some killer workstations!

We had to move in kind of an emergency way in November; I'm still sorting things out, as I was able to pull my heavy gauge flat files out of storage. Since no one has been helping me with the heavy lifting, I am rather at a standstill, so my office is split, much to my boyfriend's dismay, lol.

I'll post pics, soon. But I found a rather beautiful spot for my drafting table, with a view of yard, trees & such for now...I'm claustrophobic, so I wonder if it's been part of the problem, feeling boxed in.
