View Full Version : ka-blam down?

Hey guys and gals,

Haven't been able to get to ka-blam's website the last few days. Anyone have any info. This is especially troubling to me, as I was just about to send them a book to print...

With the big cons coming up, maybe they're inundated with work. Someone put a stop to my idle speculation, if you can.

I have also tried to visit their site since we are planning to print with them. I got an answer for about ten days ago but after that I havenīt heard anything.
I really hope they aint gonna stop print books, we need them

Hey Guys,

Ka-Blam is still alive and kicking. It's suffering some server problems which is also affecting the Indy Planet and 01Comics sites as well. Unfortunately it's taking longer than expected to remedy the situation due to the fact that Barry Gregory and tech Guru Thomas Florimonte are both at Heroes Con this weekend.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and bad timing.

Thanks for the info, AP.

Mods, kindly retitle the thread as appropo. This is excellent news.

We need printers like ka-blam.

Hope the guys are having fun at the con.

Yeah, they're fine. They've been at Heroes Con all weekend and couldn't correct the server problem from there. A case where something happens at the worst possible time--and here I thought that only happened to me

As you guys have previously noted Ka-Blam (http://ka-blam.com) (as well as the entire family of 01comics.com (http://01comics.com) sites) was down over the weekend.

It was one of those good news-bad news kind of things. The bad news was obvious -- site was down and we were out of town and unable to address the problems, but the good news was that the downtime was caused by a sizeable spike in web traffic at 01comics.com. May had been our best month to date for web traffic, but the June stats show we easily eclipsed May.

But anyway ... all sites are now back up and running and we at Ka-Blam are working hard on getting San Diego orders out.

Sorry for any trouble this might have caused any of you.

I don't think to many people were concerned. You seem to run a very tight, professional outfit. I will be getting with you soon about my project. Glad you're back up and business is good. It's true about the cloud with the silver lining!
