Old Aliens samples
 
I found these two sample pencil pages I did in the mid-90s. I was a big fan of Alien movie franchise back then until now. :laugh: Please enjoy!!

Thanks sevans! Looking at these pages now, tells me that I had tons of fun doing it. Back then I have done a lot of sample pages when I can and submitted them right away. Haha. now I think I want to do another samples of Aliens & Predators.:laugh:

I dig it too. Your stuff is always very solid and professional.

The spotting of blacks is interesting to me. I don't know what that style is called, maybe it's descended from Milt Caniff and Mort Meskin? In lesser hands it might end up looking cluttered or busy but you pull it off.

Thanks TimR. Yes, that's true with blacking. Normally, I would just put 'X' on the black areas but I shaded them on these samples. but it turned out really loose on copies compared to the original. :)

The shading should have been like this that I do nowadays.
