As for setup, think of it as photoshop in 3d: draw an image like you would in any 2d drawing program, then deform parts of the drawing in 3d space using basic tools. No 3d modelling required.

Just made an entire city in about 10 minutes:

With this method you can create a library of reusable "models" to finish storyboarding or sequentials in a fraction of the time. If anyone is interested I should have a video tutorial on sale next week.
