These pages remind me of Kev Walker and are leagues ahead of other things you've posted, good work.

I think the most impressive part is how you worked out the panel layout. You have done some experimentation in the past ones but this one has a very clear sense of storytelling in it. I like the lighting and just the action in general. The pattern marks is cool too, in some areas it really works in others it could be pulled back. But this is one of your better ones for sure. Good job!

Thanks again, I'm glad I can finally hit a stride with a unique style. I've been searching for my own identity on the page and I feel like now I've found it!

@Afro, where do you think the hatching should be pulled back? Is there anything you guys would like to see in samples going forward?

It looks like it's used as a sense of cross hatching sometimes. Other time it just looks like a pattern. So it works on faces and the walls for shadow. But on the door exploding scene it doesn't need to be there... just simple lighting is good. The pattern on iron man is weird because it has no place on metal,or it needs to have something going with it.

But you are experimenting so use this trick sparingly and know what you are using it for. Just my opinion.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a little more in some of your background scenes. Besides that these pages rock! have you shown them to any publishers yet?

Hi Marqphillipsp3, these pages look good. I enjoy the storytelling and the use of crosshatching contributes to a sense of artistry which alludes to Tony Stark's craftsmanship and mastery of iron working. Here are some of my feedback for your continuous growth.

Firstly, think about varying your camera angles. Most of your panels are tight, frontal, mid-level shots which can be flat at times. For eg, there is no panel where we can see the full human figure. Use high angle shots, wide angle, far shots etc, especially if you're submitting these pages as samples. You need to show range in this aspect. I do not know if this is because you were following a script or not but more varied camera angles will give a better sense of space, environment etc.

Secondly, pay attention to your hands. Most of your hands are well-drawn but there are some panels where the anatomy is wonky. You want to be consistent. Consistency is important in sequential art and something editors look for in samples.

Thank you for sharing your work. I wish you success in your sample submissions.
