Arrow DC Rebirth Heroes

This was a recent commission I did. I had a lot of fun with it and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Hate to say this...but all of your faces are skewered to one side.
And too generic.

its a great pic, but yeah, your faces need some variety, and they are a little 'wonky'

I like the colors and finishes but the anatomy needs work. It's best to have a small mirror in your drawing tools and use it to double check your drawings before inks. Our brains can make us see lopsided visuals as correct. You can even use a mirror to look at real people's faces and see lopsidedness we don't even notice.

Even if you aren't into realism it is best to have a high ability to understand and visualize anatomy. Jack Kirby could draw realistically before exaggerating. He could exaggerate better because of it. One of the best tools you can use for that is the free Daz3d. It used to be a bitch to download but I do believe they finally fixed that issue. Before that it would download but wouldn't have the figures for some while others said it worked fine.

There are tutorials on You Tube for Daz 3D, always check out the most recent couple of years first. Videos from 2008 might not be much help. Like Photoshop it can take a bit to get the hang of it but once you do it can be really helpful. As you move the figures from pose to pose it improves your visualization abilities. You can even save poses. You can use your Windows paint to save your screen shots after hitting print on the keyboard. You can then use Photoshop to turn those poses into your thumbnails.

You could even do poses for each of the JLA characters in your drawing and use Photoshop to put them together.

It is possible to pose multiple figures at once using Daz 3d so you could pose the entire team. But that's a trick you should only try after getting the hang of one figure at a time.

What ever you do though, DO NOT download Daz 3D or other software from Softonic or CNET. Always best to go to the source. I used to use CNET and got viruses. You might already know that but since I suggested software I thought I'd be nice and mention it.

If you want to try Daz 3d, it has an installer you need 1st. And then follow instructions and it should download Daz 3D and Genesis, which is the name of the package that contains the figures.

It's a great art tool that helped me and it's free.
