New to the Boards some Samples

Hi, I've been lettering on and off a year, still not as good as some of the folks I see here but I'm lucky enough to land some gigs now and then. I started as a penciler and just tried out lettering one day and found it interesting plus I can see/notice a badly lettered book/comic unlike my studiomates

I'm an architect by profession but still manage to squeeze time for art and comics.

I learned mostly from the net and books like DC's Lettering and Comic Crafts'. I reference from a lot of comics and magazines but I'm far from what I'm aiming for.

My lettering motto : "Compliment the page, the art, the story", "Make reading as pleasant as possible".

And areas I'm working on : Logo Design, Color, Balloon Creation and Readying for Prepress (my head hurts on this one, the eps files turn grey on the Photoshop!! even while following the tutorials at comicraft), hopefully Font Creation is in the future.

Don't use the capital "I" unless the script has someone speaking in the first person!

OMG! Thanks.....That copy paste technique from the script really made me overlook stuff.... some of these were done in less than a day...will remember that

Yeah. They get real upset around here when you use crossbar "I"s. About your work, nice. Has a real Heavy Metal quality to it. And I mean the lettering. Not just the art.

Be prepared most pages will need to be done in 20 min or less.
