Looking for cartoonist for Graphic Novel Proposal
Hey guys, I'm working on developing a graphic novel to send to a publisher, and I'm looking for a cartoonist to help develop it further. Most publishers are looking for around 8 to 10 pages of finished work for submissions and I have 8 pages scripted already.
The novel would be four different chapters of varying length that examine the duality of the internet/digital world we now spend so much of our time in and the physical world we live in. Each chapter would look at a different aspect of this split but with a sci-fi twist, sort of like the Twilight Zone. The style I'm looking for is something along the lines of Adrain Tomine, Daniel Clowes, Charles Burns, etc. I'm also looking for someone who can help me develop the stories in an interesting way visually. Comics are absolutely an artists medium, and as I haven't quite gotten past the stick figure phase of drawing, it's always good to have an artist perspective of what will work and what won't, story wise. I'm currently working on two other comics at the moment so I'm stretched pretty thin financially, but I'm open to discussion, whether it's back end pay, splitting of rights, etc. If the project sounds like something you'd want to work on, you can contact me at Jclarkcomics@yahoo.com Thanks! |
