Dario's Art Vault: Nova character sketch

In 1994, I was lucky enough to have been asked to do a fill in penciling work for a Nova mini-series for Marvel Comics. I only did a couple of issues filling in for the regular writer and penciller, Chris Marrinan, who did a fantastic job on the series. I salute you, Chris!

I wanted to keep the same style as his to keep the flow of movements in the book. I started sketching up and getting familiar with the character as it was my first time to do this character and I found it addicting as there's so much that I've learned about the Nova alter ego guy. It was such a great experience and looking back now, I'm glad that at least I have contributed my work to the Marvel Universe.

This was the sketch that I have to send the editor for prior approval. Enjoy!

Yes, I still love those days and the style of comics. Back then, it's fun to do comics while earning a bit. Missing it, really.
