thanks ld-airgrafix, using an unusual quote from a movie "A relationship, I think, is like a shark. You know? It has to constantly move forward or it dies. And I think what we got on our hands is a dead shark." i'm trying not to kill the shark lol.

The three panals of batman, very good
The large shot of Batman, very weird (not in a good way for me)
The last panel of the Joker, Awesome.
Overall tone and atmosphere, spot on for a Batman story. Well done.

Thanks for the input kong. i've drawn many batman pics. i love how he can be easily defined by many different shapes/designs and you add pointy ears and some kind of cape and he's recognized as batman. this batman was inspired by the cartoonier aspects of kelley jones batman. his proportions are odd, his cape is more like wings and he has claws. it's fun for me to design a different shape and try to make it work. i'd like to hear more of your reactions to the main batman shot.

the three panel sequence was inspired by a very cool shot in the first keaton batman movie where batman's face is in almost in total darkness and the more he lifts his head the more we see of the face.

i'm working more on sequentials. it's been a while since i've tried to tell a story.

thanks Morganza. there was a shot used in really old black and white movies where they'd shoot a close up of a face and they light the eyes and the rest of the face would fade into darkness. i used gradients to light up joker's beady eyes a bit more.

i just mean the ledge where the gargoyles feet are on should be slanting the reverse way with that perspective. Your light and shadows are great!

This is new. I don't think I have seen you use so much feathering before.
Looks great.

Thanks artsnake. Recently I was looking at McNivin's work on old man Logan and decided to do Logan in that style. He's a bulkier more weather beaten wolverine than I normally would draw and his age gave room for more lines and texture.
