I think their website has been getting an overhaul and changes being made by the day behind the scenes, so some little links might be mixed right now-- check back or just e-mail them.

DJ-
Are they actually publishing/printing comics, now? I know one major complaint about them was that they're more interested in getting movie deals and such and don't actually publish much in the way of actual comic books. Also, if you can talk about it, how is the creative control? I know they buy the property, which I could live with, but do they allow you to retain creative/editorial control? That would be the big sticking point for me. I have a book I'm shopping around - Archaia, Oni, Antarctic and Penny Farthing have all expressed interest - and I was considering sending Platinum something. |

Ok-- I can answer that I think---
YES! Their first actual books are coming out in Nov or Dec this year. I don't know the title names, I think someone told me Cowboys and Aliens is coming soon through Previews? And that's pretty common knowledge. I can't speak for older properties they have in their catalog, I dont think EVERYTHING can come out all at once, but they have OTHER plans for that stuff I can't go into or I'm not well versed in. --- MY BOOK, HERO by is set to debut in March 2007 or around there at a major comic convention. As far as creative control-- you pretty much have it. The only thing they do help with is editorial guidance which, in lessa than two weeks has already HELPED me immensely. Just suggestions, and looking at overall structures, themes... things you think about in the back of your head anyway--- I think of it like an expert who's able to tell you when you've done something that's way too close to something else. But already I can see that's it pretty much my control-- like I decided i wanted to have a daily webcomic to go with the book and they were all cool with that, I'm sure they'll help with looking over the story and making sure I'm not ripping anyone off or doing something completely dumb. Anyways, good luck!
