Kincade was an odd dude. He's definitely not exactly what most of his fans would expect for him to be. I love the subtle hint that he crawled over razor wire to get to this special little bridge. That actually seems like something he would actually do. You're just missing the empty beer cans that should be littered around his path...

Thanks Bishop. I actually had an earlier version that was much more subtle--- just the fence, no blood--- but people didn't seem to understand it. The implication that he had crawled over barb wire, and yet somehow didn't "notice" it in his relentless optimism.

I didn't know he had an issue with alcoholism, or much about him beyond his public persona.

Yeah, my workplace had a project or two with him a few years before he died, and I had opportunity to be around him some. He wasn't as optimistic as you might think unless arrogance is akin to optimism...
