Still playing catch-up on Inktober... not quite there yet, but only a day behind now!

For Day 6 and Day 7 I drew random monster sketch cards. No reference, though I'm sure lots of sci-fi and comics over the years influenced what I ended up drawing somehow!

Finally caught up, and hoping to stay that way!

Inktober Day 8 and 9 bring (you guessed it) more sketch cards! For Day 8 I tried an experiment in Minimalism. Not sure how well it worked, but hey... I wanted to try something different! Day 9 is a non-specific old-style robot.

Inktober Day 10, staying on schedule and continuing to do my own thing... A Cyclops sketch card. Not the X-Men Cyclops.. the monster Cyclops

I'm normally pretty humble, but I really like this one. I did a little more shading and highlighting than I normally do and I think it really made a difference with this guy.

Inktober Day 14 is a sketch card of Jason Voorhees... he's a little late for work, since I was involved in a trilogy yesterday... but it's ok if Jason gets in a little slicing/dicing today, right?

Thanks... I thought those turned out rather well. I've always been a pretty good mimic, able to draw well from reference especially if I'm also trying to ape the style too. Sometimes I'm trying to find my own style too... and that can be hit or miss when I'm experimenting.

Day 15 was Pinhead, and Day 16 is Frankenstein's Monster

Inktober Days 17 and 18, because I forgot to post yesterday... more sketch cards.

Day 17 was Pennywise, more from the Tim Curry version than from the more recent IT movie... Day 18 is the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Day 20 was Chucky... Day 21 is the Tall Man from Phantasm.
