Celestial Sentinel short entry

Hi DW folks,
I was fortunate enough to get involved in this anthology project collecting different entries from new writing class of Ron Fortier. Ron is also an avid contributor here in DW Forum and a good friend of mine, who also helped me brought to you his writing on my own creation Mask of the Gargoyle. Thanks Ron for this opportunity!

I hope you enjoy these few pages as much I enjoyed it.

Looks great! I especially like the dramatic use of black on the first page.

These are really good! Love that main character's design and how his weapon works. You drew it well so the reader can tell where the sword came from, too.

Thanks MeltedChi! I designed those characters and I'm glad you liked them as much as I did. Based on the script, it was only mentioned about the plasma weapons. I was going for a alien gloves or something for the main character but decided to do something different. I was happy I made that decision as it looks awesome with the end result!

Here are the last three pages to complete the short story. At first I don't want to reveal the story, but it's better to see the progression of the sequential. Now I'll have to push you to buy the book(s). Lol.

The figures look okay, but there's a startling lack of backgrounds, and when something does appear, it's often just basic rubble, which I don't find particularly inspired. If there isn't much to draw in the background, then you can probably do something to make the set piece more interesting.

It's the discretion of the artist to put more backgrounds as required on panels. For me, while I established where the characters are and scenes, I just dabbled into the action sequences. Yes, there are just basic rubble around, but that's the scenes called for in the story. Thanks fro your feedback Neil!
