You have a gorgeous style, and it totally reminds me of Aeon Flux, or traditional Fantasy illustrations, or even some renaissance artwork, which are all awesome. Your movement is amazing, and I love how you put such focus on musculature. You can really *feel* these characters.

My only comment otherwise would be on the boobies of your women. It's totally just my personal opinion, but most of them seem to be floating around with no gravity. Boobs of those sizes would be pretty dang heavy. In the rest of your art, there is a cool gravity and feeling, but when it came to the breasts, it's distractingly obvious that they're weightless. Similarly, while I can appreciate the tiny strap holding the boobs as an outfit choice, especially in fantasy art, where they are placed in your art, if gravity had taken hold of those boobs in real life, they would absolutely not be held up, they'd plop right on out.

But... I'm guessing most the guys here wouldn't notice Just my two cents!

Lady Doom without the mask is totally creepy and awesome!

I would actually compare the drawings to some of the old Heavy Metal magazine artwork from Moebius. Very nice stuff!

Great work...a suggestion to correct the ' age ' issue...fewer lines like suggested prior, along with practicing your posturing of the characters...you droop the shoulders and heads on the women.

Have them stand upright, tilting the chin more upwards...always above the collar/shoulder line, unless the expression calls for it.

You have them slumping forward, like they has spinal issues. Bring the head up, supported and strong, healthy and proud.

Just food for thought.

Thumbs up

thanks so much for the comments and crits everyone

@renae thanks for the kind words ...and good eye. i have been going a bit overboard with the breasts lately-i think im overcompensating(i was drawing them too low/saggy before). good crit and definitely noted, i think just drawing smaller breasts will fix some of this...and i will keep in mind going forward.

@jmy thanks for the comments. and yeah man i really had fun with that doom..and really nice compliment-and i definitely draw(or try too ) some of my sensibility from heavy metal artists(and i love moebius...loved his great design and balance of subtlety and power-tremendous artist)

@charged thanks for the comments and crits-yeah im working at the age thing(to a degree i think i will probably draw 'older' looking characters-not alex ross old but maybe more mature)...it's a good point about the lines. and valid point about posture-some of this is comfort level with the faces,i know i can draw that type of face and the figure follows-but im working on 'up' angles like a lunatic here.

and a few more sketches

Interesting approach to the Aquaman gender-swap.

Keep working at it, as the breats are still all over the place in these.

Be sure and pay attention to gravity and that the soft tissue and glands there tends to have a form and direction but in static positioning, always comes back down to earth, especially without anything supporting them properly.

If the character moves up, they go down, if she is upside down, then they rise up towards her face.

Check into it and how they move in real life.

Hope this helps.

I read an interesting statement on drawing women: the easiest way to age women is to add lines. I thinking you might want to try the inverse.

I agree with Renea here. Your fluid and energetic style is great, and I love the exaggeration on muscles.

Like mentioned, what would really place this on a higher level (personally), is to relax on the lines. You've got too many (at times). And the women do not need helium silicon breasts. They don't need silicon breasts either.

That "supergirl" with the "jellyfish" is terrific! Get it coloured!

@magnus thanks bro -yeah man i'm trying to keep the lines fluid...im practicing like a lunatic . and i would agree that the extra lines(while they make sense to me..i kind of use these as guides-or if i get nervous/unsure-they seem to help me along) can be a bit confusing for the viewer. and trying to work on breast size....this will be a process-but i will draw smaller boobs..this will be a challenge and an ongoing wip .
