Big Lions don't cry...or do they?

Here are some pencils for the upcoming second season of Asreeth Lion Warrior. The head shot is probably the best drawing of the main character I’ve done yet. I find that I’m probably settling into a groove for how to depict the main character. The rougher, structural drawing is how I usually start my pencils: very loose, almost scribbly. I like to work in terms of clumps and masses, then fill in details later. In most cases, I really don’t even start the tight drawing until I’m ready to ink. Why do tight pencils if you’re going to ink yourself, right?
