I woulc characterize it as refreshing. The final panel I would describe as superb.

The panels, themselves, are unimaginative, but the content contained therein is quote impressive. They are replete with ordinary details, lots and lots of them. The first half of the panels are more visually impressive, because of such. That final panel, again, I think it is just magnificent. A great pose, a great expression, and the angle of the shot relative to everyone else nearby. It's just perfect, I think. Just the right touch.

I assume this was intentional The layout, perspectives, everything lends itself to the 'mundane-ness' of the day for the officer.

Hatchetman is on a distinguished road

That could actually be the best rendering of Superman I've seen in ages. Well done!

I agree with Charles.

Work on being more creative with the construction of the page. Each panel is not just a screen capture of a specific moment in time, the layout of those panels within a page holds significance as well. Right now your work looks more like storyboards. Storyboards work to give a director sense of what shots he wants to take but they're just stills, the act of filming creates motion. You have to create that sense of motion within the page, which messing around with the composition of your panels can accomplish. The layout of the panels can also put a specific image, character or moment into focus, adding greater resonance to the story.

Now that the critique is out of the way let's begin the love fest shall we. Just like those Spider-Man pages you posted a couple of years ago, I just love your unexaggerated figure drawings, the emotion in each character's expressions, your characters seem more human then most of the work being done by the Big 2 today (especially DC). In the first two pages you filled up the background with so much detail that it really made the world feel alive, I wish you had continued that in each of the panels in the last two pages. Superman's kind face made him so approachable, which is such a necessary element to the character. It's something that has been lost at DC, I'm glad that you found it. That final panel really is picture perfect.

Keep up the good work.
