Let me pencil that into my calendar

Now for something different--when I'm not working on breaking into comics I'm drawing portraits. Here are two from the past couple of years--the first is a self-portrait...we had our first newborn at the time, if that illuminates things at all

Then the ideal situation would be if you could come to my house where they're hanging so I could see you do it!

Yes, they're pencil. I wouldn't know how to do anything like that digitally if I tried. I'm still struggling learning photoshop coloring

*Bricks are shat*

How large are these pieces? The pencil marks are so fine that I thought the image of your face was actually a digital photograph on top of a drawing.

That top one is absolutely insane. I love the rendering of all the stuff in your head.

They're both done on 14x17, but the top one is edge-to-edge. I see what you mean. I can post a detail shot.

3'LL - thanks, it took for-fracking-ever, that's for sure.

Ok here's a detail pic, though it didn't do so well in the resolution department. I think it's good enough, though.

Woah. Amazing photorealism on that detail close-up.
Great work on both of these!

BKMDog--thanks. I've posted some comic stuff but it didn't go over as well.

Joshu-uh--lol...I think you're the first person to ever make that joke, which seems strange now that I think about it. It's actually a strainer.
