Maybe too reliant on the texture effect.

I agree, Sevans was right, I jumped to the spray effect too early and was too reliant on it. I am currently putting a bit more into the line work details. The neato look was achieved with the Clip studio spray tool

I think the Terminator is fine, where you're just using the spray plus white highlights to define the form.
