Illustrator for Children's Book

BBMTY Studios is an independently owned comic company. We’re searching for an artist to illustrate and color a children’s picture book. We want for a simple yet realistic style with a softness to it--similar to Rachel Smythe or Katie Cook’s work. We would like the finished illustrations to resemble watercolor paintings in their texture and softness.

The commission requires 25 pages of colored illustrations, including the front and back cover and one two-page spread. Final illustrations must be formatted as a PSD file with a resolution of 300dpi, exported in CMYK.

Total pay for the commission will be $700 USD. Artists will be paid no later than two weeks (fourteen days) after the final illustrations have been submitted and we have confirmed their receipt. Payment will be sent via Paypal or Venmo, depending on the artist’s preference.

The header of your email should read “Illustrator Submission--[Your Name Here].” Please include your name and experience in the body of the email, along with your contact information. Once we have chosen an artist, we will provide a contract to be approved and signed before work is begun.
