How To Make A Graphic Novel

My pal Joie Simmons is working on a How To Make A Graphic Novel for Kids and I thought the premise was cool.
He tells me it'll be available online before World War III.

1. CHARACTERS

• Your character can be a:

i. Stick figure
ii. Little cartoon
iii. A dog, a cat
iv. Even a silly shape

• Make the characters talk:

i. Talk and react
ii. Normal talking
iii. BIG YELLING!

1. PANELS

• Panels are where the action happens
• Think of panels as little TV screens
• ORDER OF PANELS

1. LETTERING

• Try to keep it all the same size

i. Bigger for yelling
ii. Smaller for whispering

1. THE STORY

• You will need a beginning, a middle and an ending

i. It’s best to have an ending in mind when you start.
ii. Yes, your story can be about absolutely anything, A princess, a pirate, a superhero dog.

• Stories can be one page or many pages. It doesn’t matter, just start and have some fucking fun!
