Where be all them Anthologies??

I know Deadlight Studios had one but I don't think they have it anymore. Where are all the others? I love writing short horror but can never find these places to submit to. Any Ideas?

Boom! Studios has various books that are _____ tales. They've done Cthulhu Tales, Zombie Tales (I think 3 of them), they have an upcoming Pirate Tales. Everyone I've read has been amazing. Image has Negative burn, and has done the 2 flight anthologies 24seven and one other anthology book. There's the Shooting Star Comics Anthology. There's been the Trailer Park of Terror from Imperium comics.

So, there are a few, but the majority seem to be showing the side stories of the more talented creators, but there may be a shot. look for the submission guidelines.

Well that sucked! I just flew through all of the above websites, and not one is in need of writers. Sad times indeed.

Visit my Creator Services page (link in sig). I have the submission guidelines posted for around 25 anthologies there, so that should give you a good starting place...

Of course, always do your homework, in case any of those links are out of date.

Truth be told, I don't think there are any anthologies looking to match up creators. Generally you have to bring them a full package.

At least that's how we've done it.

Eh, out of the 16 stories for Postcards we ended up pairing on our own for half of them - it allowed us to put the right artist on the right story.

Of course, it also helps that I keep a harem of artists and found myself pairing guys like Harvey Pekar.

But, regardless, a lot of times the artist someone wants doesn't end up servicing the book properly.

You are the exceptional exception. I knew a finite statement would bite me in the ass.

On my Creator Services page, the links marked with "*" mean they take writing submissions without art attached. There are more than it would seem. But by and large Ron's statement holds true.

nolanjwerner is an unknown quantity at this point

My friend and I are co-editing an anthology.

Were looking for short and longer stuff. Basically, you know how you have that one project that you really wnat to do but its too radical for anyone else? We'll be the place that accepts it. And we accept stuff from writers without artists.

http://ptstoryworkshop.proboards99.com for submission info and a forum.
